Top 8 Indian Film stars seen in Goa at IFFI 2017

One of the most awaited and revered film festivals in Asia is back. Yet again with a fresh new lineup of familiar faces. From the usual ‘Khans’ to the evergreen wonders of years gone by.

Here are 8 famous film stars who attended and will attend IFFI this year.

 

8. Salman Khan

Like him or not. Salman Khan is unsurprisingly one of the most well known actors in Bollywood, if not the world. He has also climbed back to the No 1 rank on the 2016 Forbes India Celebrity 100 List. A poster boy for fitness enthusiasts since the 90’s, Salman has numerous blockbuster films to his credit. He will be the special guest at the closing day ceremony.

 

7. Sridevi Kapoor

Born in 1963, Sridevi Kapoor is one of the most successful film actresses in Bollywood. She started her acting journey when she was just four with the film Thunaivan. Sridevi went on to become one of the highest paid actresses of her time.  She is celebrating 50 years in the Indian film industry this year, and has inaugurated the Panorama section of IFFI 2017.

 

6. Karan Johar

One of the most charismatic personalities of Indian cinema, Karan Johar’s work in Bollywood films has been consistently fabulous. Referred to as ‘KJo’ by the Indian media, Karan is the son of the acclaimed producer Yash Johar. His talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ has been a hit on Indian Television. Be sure to catch a glimpse of him at IFFI this year.

 

 

5. Shahid kapoor

Shahid Kapoor has been part of the industry for the past 20 years.  He carved his own way into the Hindi film industry by starting off as a background dancer.

He is not only known for his charming looks but is also considered to be a genuine and serious actor after giving successful hits like Jab We Met and Kaminey. Shahid Kapoor was present at IFFI’s inaugural ceremony.

 

4. Katrina Kaif

Would IFFI be complete without one of India’s most successful actresses in recent times? Probably not. Katrina Kaif has amassed a massive following in India and beyond. She’s no stranger to Malayalam and Telugu films either, having worked in a few over the decade.

Katrina Kaif is all set to appear as a special guest at the IFFI closing ceremony this year.

 

 

3. Anupam Kher

Having a career spanning over three decades, Anupam Kher is an Indian film and theater actor, director, and producer who has won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Having been a part of various film industries and has appeared in Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi, Marathi, Chinese, and English language movies, one can safely conclude that Anupam Kher is one of the most versatile actors in the industry.

 

 

2. Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan has worked in innumerable movies and made many more television appearances since 92’. He has won so many awards over the years that we’ve pretty much lost count. Shah Rukh Khan is without a doubt the most well known Indian actor abroad, with almost all of his films being dubbed in several languages.

Shah Rukh Khan delivered his spectacular performance at the IFFI Inaugural ceremony.

The original and the only ‘Angry young man’ himself is attending IFFI this year. Big B is one of the most iconic film stars in the history of Indian cinema. Instantly recognizable courtesy of his unparalleled  voice and imposing frame, the superstar is an integral part of Bollywood and Indian television history.  

And that’s not all. Amitabh Bachchan will be felicitated with the Indian Film Personality of the Year Award. This is the first time that a presenter of this award is being felicitated with the same award. In IFFI 2014, Bachchan himself presented the same award to South India’s most legendary actor, Rajinikanth.

 

All these legends, all under one roof. How could anyone afford to miss that. Be sure to catch the IFFI 2017 Closing Ceremony on 28th of November where Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif & Salman Khan will be seen.
