8 Relaxing Weekend Getaways From Goa

1. Malvan

Along the Maharashtra coastline lies Malvan, one of the eight talukas in the Sindhudurg district and a lovely holiday destination. 2. Dandeli

Dandeli, in Karnataka, is the perfect option for the adventurer in you. 3. Karwar

A little over 50 kms from Goa is Karwar, adorned by pristine beaches, clear waters and an ancient history. Snorkelling and dolphin spotting are a couple of the activities that tourists indulge in during their stay here. Trekking along the jagged hills is also a good early morning exercise to flex those muscles before hitting Karwar’s beaches.

4. Amboli

Called the ‘queen’ of Maharashtra, this pristine hill-station offers you breathtaking views of nature’s finest creations. 5. Lonavla

The most popular weekend getaway for Mumbaikars, Lonavla also attracts travellers from across the country. Pleasant weather with a slight chill in the air during the peak season (October-March) works in favour for the city dwellers. A well-known holiday destination, Lonavla is easily accessible by road and rail, and also offers plenty of options for accommodation and food.

6. Alibaug

7. Khandala

8. Gokarna

A quick drive from Goa as well as Bangalore, Gokarna is laden with pristine beaches and temples. You can go beach hopping for an entire day or visit the Mahabaleshwar temple, home to Lord Shiva. A leisurely stroll in the evening around the town taking in the town’s essence would make for a great end to your trip in Gokarna.
