Goa Sunsplash 2019 is back again for the fourth time and is set to make a blast as usual. Past headliners have included Mad Professor, Johnny Osbourne, General Levy, Zion Train, Manudigital, Cali P, Skarra Mucci, and Brother Culture. And this year is no different. The biggest names in the reggae scene are all set to be here. Goa Sunsplash 2019 is focused on becoming a complete cultural experience and is proud to be the home of India’s first handcrafted reggae sound system – 10,000 Lions. 2 days of non-stop fun, music, drinks, dance and nightlife awaits anyone up for it.
The festival is set to happen on 12th and 13th January 2019 at Riva Beach Resort, Mandrem.
What is Goa Sunsplash 2019?
Goa Sunsplash 2019 is South Asia’s largest celebration of reggae culture with 3 music spaces catering to all styles of reggae music from dub to dancehall. Artists from over 25 countries have played at previous editions of Sunsplash and guests from over 50 countries have attended the festival before. It’s no wonder that Goa Sunsplash 2019 is one of the most talked about festivals in Asia.
What to expect at Goa Sunsplash 2019
This year’s festival will feature the same legendary entertainment as last years. Alongside much much more. From a live stage to a dancehall arena and a state of the art reggae area powered by the custom made 10,000 Lions Sound System.
The festival is not just about the music either. Also set up are some of Goa’s finest eateries and the in house flea market will be stocked with crafts from around the world.
Goa Sunsplash 2019: The Lineup
Last years Goa Sunsplash had no shortage of talent rocking the stage. With legendary artists like General Levy, Zion Train, Brother Culture, Naaman, Cali P, and Manudigital. Sunsplash sets the bar higher every year.
This year’s headliners are even better. Including incredible singers like Craig Black Eagle, Tomawok and Anthony B . There’s also a strong local presence with ‘The Fanculos’ and ‘Boombay Djembe Folas’. Both from Mumbai, making their debuts at Sunsplash. In addition, indie bands of the Indian reggae scene like Delhi Sultanate & Begum X, Reggae Rajahs, Dakta Dub, Rudy Roots, and Roman NZ are also expected to be there.
Goa Sunsplash 2019: Travel
It shouldn’t be much of a hassle to reach via a rented bike or even a cab. If you’re coming directly from the airport then it’s even simpler. Pre Paid Taxis are available directly from Dabolim Airport to the festival site, making it simple to get to the festival from the airport, hassle-free.
When booking your transfer, keep in mind that you will need roughly 1 hour to exit the airport & 2 hours to check in and board your flight on your way home.
The Festival takes place on Mandrem beach, which is roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes away from the airport.
